Disable locking the doors with key in ignition?

Post by F9K9 »

Returned from a weekend trip to Mrs F9K9's mother's home in IN today. :)

There were several places that she wanted to stop and shop at and I went along with it for my sake. The problem was that she had to have her "Foo-Foo" ankle biting Pekingese come with us on this trip :(

Being a former K-9 handler, I would not leave the mutt in the truck because it was getting hot and I know the dangers in this area.

Well that just upset her but, until I can find a way to disable the door safety feature I am not leaving any dog in a vehicle in warm weather. It may be 78 degrees out but inside a vehicle, it can get over 100 degrees in a hurry. A couple of minutes of a dog's core temp being over 104 degrees and they become toast.

As much as I despise the dog I need to find a way to bypass the safety feature so that I can leave it running with the AC on. I don't want to do the automatic start routine unless I absolutely have to.

Anyone have a clue on how I may disable the feature?

you hit the lock button and it will automatically unlock your driver's door then you just push the lock thing over manually on your drivers door and it will stay locked. Try that it has always worked for me.
