Post by sonoma »

ive just noticed that my rear driver side running light and license plate light is not working....from what i have noticed is it is the same bulb as the brake is it not???
my brake and turn signal work but at night the left side is completely dark
what could be the problem??
i was thinking it could be a fuse but im not sure which one it could be as i dont have an owners manual
can anyone help with this as i dont want a ticket

The brake light and tail light use the same bulb but different filaments. There are two in the bulb. If it was a fuse both sides wouldn't work to my knowledge. I would replace the bulbs then go from there as that would be my initial thought.

Go to the sticky : My GMlink ( downloadable owner's manual ) and download an owners manual. There is no reason not to have one.
The fuses you seek are under the hood.
Then check the ground wire that attaches near the bumper bracket bolts.
You can test the lights with a continuity tester. Don't just replace them unless they are bad.
