I did the quad headlight mod on my 03

Post by 2bunik »

:o no relay I just ground the yellow wire out and boy did them lights shine. I also did the air box mod while I was at it. I am very satisfied with both ..
8) On the head light mod I still dont understand what the whole relay thing is about .. some one please reply on what the whole relay purpose is. I just ground it out and my dRLs and my auto light both work fine. all it changed was the high beams. maybe it is an 03 thing.. but regardless I have some pictures.I can email them to someone if some one would be so kind as to post them .. so we can add it to the mod section. I think every one should do this one.
The air box mod sure gave great response to the throttle and a wonderful engine screaming "thanx" sound.

Any other cheap mods I havent found ?

Do you have AHL (Automatic Head Lamps)?

On those with both AHL and Highbeam DRL , if you ground the yellow wire all the time the all four lights are on during DRL operation.

just lows on DRL then the
AHL kicks in low beams too .. as soon as i hit the highs I get quads. :? Ill check it again. since last night I was tricking the sensor with a lamp. But I dont think I need this relay thing.

If you hold back the turn signal stalk without pulling it all the way to the "click", you can engage all 4 bulbs on high beams. It's hard to describe, but think of it as using your turn signals, but not pushing them all the way down :?: :D .
