Factory Alarm

Post by rick »

The Dealership near me is selling the factory alarms for the S-10. Its the VSC 3200 GM part # 12495645 for $39.99 list is 124. retail 199. If anyone in interested let me know. It only works with the S-10's with power door locks because you use the same remote. It will work with the crew cabs, because they all had power locks with the transmitter.

Isn't that the same one we already have?

Did any of the crew cabs come without the security system?

Why do you need it disabled?

It's not the best security system out there, but it's better than not having one at all... If someone busts your window to get in and opens the door, it will start beeping. I've done this when I've locked the car out of habit with the windows down and I reached in to unlock it and open the door!

My crew never came with an alarm. So this will have a shock sensor, chirp, siren. This is a GM accessories part. No if only I had the time to install. Works with the factory remote.
