Use 3/4" MDF for the front, top, bottom, and sides. Use 1/2"MDF on the back. Requires removal of the jack (i still fit it in the back).Carpet yourself. make sure You use liquid Nails for the joints so no air escapses

Kewl! I used to really get into sound systems. Someday maybe I'd like to put some'm nice in my truck. The only thing that anoys me with today's hi-fi systems, is that most company's just get into booming bass. And that is not what music is about. I like realistic sound, which is getting very difficult to find real sound technology nowadays.

It doesn't put out that rattle the trunk Bass but has good bass levels. I replaced the stock speakers with $1200 replacements...Every speaker is amped to make them sound good...An in dash lcd accents video/audio. A good stereo is a wise investment not only for the desired levels of sound but also the stereo can come out of the old truck and into the new one.

Nice... Did you have any problems with the RDS Radio? I had lots of engine noise coming from the computer in the radio... Anyone else have this problem?
