Wiring question

I'm planning on wiring my electric cutout tomorrow and was wondering a couple things about the wiring. I'm planning on mounting the switch to the panel where I think the fog light switch would be (if I had fog lights) just to the left of the radio. The wiring harness is still plugged into the back of the removable panel, and I'm wondering if any of these 6 wires is a power wire or a ground. There are 2 gray wires, 2 black wires, one green and one yellow. I could always splice into the radio harness I guess, but this one is closer to the panel, so if the power is there, I'll use it.

Couple things.

The factory fog light switch is below the dome light switch below the light switch,

That blank panel , to the left of the radio, is the panel for the rear wiper and hatch release. We have the same wiring harness as all the utilities (Blazers).

On the pickup wiring harness the airbag disconnect switch/wiring is there.



Can you use the wiring? YES! I even used the switch :D

Heres the wiring:

Pin A YEL = Accesory Voltage

Pin B DK GRN = Rear Window washer Control

Pin C GRY = Rear Window Wiper Switch Signal

Pin D BLK = Trunk Release Switch Signal

Pin E BLK = Ground

Pin F GRY Instrument Panel Lamp Fuse Supply Voltage

Found a pic with the LEDs installed :D

I used the YEL for my switch to supply, small GRY dash lights, Green for push to supply, BLK for ground, then added a couple wires of my own for wiring to the relays.

One more question...how do I tell which black wire is the ground? Are the pins marked? Or are they in order from one end to the other?

I listed in order from left to to right. You should be able to test them also. Only one will be grounded.



Don't overload the wiring. Be sure to use a relay if more amperage than the load the stock wiring is designed for is required.

It should be OK...the cutout motor only pulls 5 amps.



No installing it today though...it seems every muffler shop in Phoenix is closed for the holiday weekend. Maybe in a couple weeks. :?

I have ALWAYS wondered what they forgot to install there. Turns out it's because I own 3/4 of a Blazer. 8)
