Automatic Transmission - DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid

Chassis - Chassis Lubricant (GM P/N 12377985 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI Grade 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Constant Velocity Universal Joint - Chassis Lubricant (GM P/N 12377895 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI # 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Engine Coolant - A 50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and use only GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL® or Havoline® DEX-COOL® (orange-colored, silicate-free) coolant conforming to GM specification 6277M

Engine Oil
- Engine Oil with the American Petroleum Institute Certified For Gasoline Engines Starburst symbol of the proper viscosity

Front and Rear Axle Standard Differential - Axle Lubricant (GM P/N 89021671) or SAE 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Lubricant

Fuel Filler Door and Rear Folding Seat - Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube® (GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent)

Hood and Door Hinges
- Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube® (GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent)

Hood Latch Assembly, Secondary Latch, Pivots, Spring Anchor and Release Pawl
- Lubriplate® Lubricant Aerosol (GM P/N 12346293 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI # 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Hydraulic Brake System - Delco Supreme 11® Brake Fluid (GM P/N 12377967 or equivalent DOT-3 Brake Fluid)

Key Lock Cylinders - Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube® (GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent)

Park Brake Cable Guides - Chassis Lubricant (GM P/N 12377985 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI Grade 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Power Steering System - GM Power Steering Fluid (GM P/N 1052884-1 pint, 1050017-1 quart, or equivalent)

Rear Axle (Locking, Differential) - Axle Lubricant, use only GM Part No. 89021671 (in Canada use Part No. 10953482). Do Not add friction modifier

Rear Driveline Center Spline and Universal Joints - Chassis Lubricant (GM P/N 12377985 or equivalent) or lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI # 2, Category LB or GC-LB

Tailgate Handle Pivot Points, Hinges, Latch Bolt and Linkage - Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube® (GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent)

Tailgate Mounted Spare Tire Carrier (if equipped), Outer Tailgate Handle Pivot Points and Hinges - Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube® (GM P/N 12346241 or equivalent)

Transfer Case NVG 233-NP1 (Two Speed Selectable) - DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid (GM P/N 12346143 or equivalent)

Weatherstrip Conditioning - Dielectric Silicone Grease (GM P/N 12345579 or equivalent)

Weatherstrip Squeaks - Synthetic Grease with Teflon, Loctite Superlube® (GM P/N 12371287 or equivalent)

Windshield Washer Solvent - GM Optikleen® Washer Solvent (GM P/N 1051515 or equivalent)

Lot's of good info! :thumb: This should help reduce the recommended fluid topics. :lol: On engine the coolant I would also say not to mix the green with the orange just in case someone doesn't already know that. :wink:

Application - Specification

Axles
Front Axle = 1.27 quarts
Rear Axle-7.625 = 1.8 quarts
Rear Axle-8.6 = 2.0 quarts

Engine Cooling System
4.3 L (VIN W) Automatic (Pickup) = 13.8 quarts
4.3 L (VIN W) Automatic (Utility) = 11.7 quarts

Engine Crankcase
4.3 L (VIN W) = 4.5 quarts

Fuel Tank
(Crew Cab Models) = 19.0 gallons
(Regular Extended Cab Models) = 18.5 gallons

Transmission
4L60-E After Filter/Pan Removal = 5.0 quarts
After Complete Overhaul-4L60-E = 11 quarts

Transfercase NV233 = 1.1 quarts

Power Steering Capacity = 0.68 quarts-1.05 quarts
