Coolant Temperature Sensor/Sender

Post by microsvc »

I have a 2001 4.3-W and was wondering where the Coolant Temperature Sensor AND Sender were located.
I believe there one for the instrument panel gauge and one for the Computer.
Thanks!

The ECT sensor in located in the left (driver side) cylinder head between #3 and #5 exhaust ports. Look right down by the steering shaft.

Is that the sensor for the instrument panel gauge or for the computer to read the temp? I need locations for both, please.

The instrument panel gauge gets its data from the PCM.
