hello im powerload, new owner of an 02 s10 crew cab and already in trouble.Hope somebody can help i had a grinding noise from the front differential and replaced it.Put on one i picked up at a local wrecker and it drove fine for about 25 miles and all of a sudden it started to do the exact same noise allover again.It only happens when i slow down at high speed it works fine.

Check for dry rotted vacuum lines behind the power brake booster and make sure the line to the reservoir in the left front fender is attached. That sounds like a vacuum actuator type problem.

Checking the actuator and cable is also a good idea as is resetting the transfercase module. There are quite a few who have had similar problems.

Thanks for the advice I will try these items tomorrow and will let you know the outcome.
