The unleashing...

Post by SomeCrew »

Yes sir everyone, she is done. Still need an alignment, but other than that, she's purdy!

Only rubbing I have is on the front valance, and I am gonna take care of that tomorrow.

It was night time when we took these, so they are kinda hard to see....I shall get some day time pics tomorrow if I can...

Wow! Quite a change from when I saw it last at the GWNF trail ride. So am I gonna get a close up look at the beast next Saturday? One things for sure. Nobody will confuse our trucks in the pictures now!

Somecrew,

That Is Sweeet :thumb:

What All Are You Running Now...6" SL - 2" BL - 35" Tires - And You Got Some Shackles & A Tbat Crank Right??

If You Go On The GWNF Run With Rusty You Guys Gotta Get Some Side By Side Shots .... Then We Can Really See The Difference.

But The Truck Looks Really NICE I'm Glad All Your Hard Work Paid Off

Like I said, now people will be able to tell the difference, other than mine is a slightly darker shade of red! I took the grill guard off mine (it was bent anyway) and put the stock wheels and tires back. Compared to somecrew's, it will really look like a "before and after" shot.

Thanks everyone, I planned on doing some daylight pics today, but couldn't. Tomorrow I am gonna spend the whole day washing her up, then I will get some very nice pics for you all.

Bubaloo, thanks for the shackle compliment. I can't remember where I got them, but he does pretty darned good work! :D

Barch97, yea that other s-10 is lowered. 90 percent of my friends drive s-10s, and all of them are lowered except mine. We figured it would be a good pic with a lifted and lowered s-10.

I just noticed your balancing weights.

Image

I had the same problem... dull gray lead weights on my shiny black wheels... stick out like a sore thumb.

Stop by your local hobby shop and pick up a gloss black paint pen for a couple bucks and the problem is solved. :D

Thanks everyone for you help/support/concerns with this project.

Yea, the tires are nice, but I gotta get rid of them. I got them for free, they are used, and they are extremely bald. they couldnt even balance the rear wheels hey were so tore up. So the next purchase is new tires, just got these to hold me over until I get new ones.

About the weights, I plan on blacking them out.

I might be wrong but, as best as I remember some tire and wheel combinations cannot always be balanced perfectly from the back side alone. Had a set of wheels and tires I had put on a car at TireRack in South Bend, IN and they used "stick on" weights and were able to do it but, those wheels had a huge amount of backspacing. :)

Nah, no rubbing on the 35's as of yet. I need to get new tires next, then I will get the fender flares. My back tires are so worn that they could not balance them, so on the highway it gets a little rocky. I am not going to go any bigger than 35s. They look great on my truck and I see no need to go bigger. When I get my next set of tires, I am gonna see if they can put the weights on the inside only, if not then oh well..
