Pitman Arm Puller Part Number?

Post by Rusty Shackleford »

My Pitman arm is getting a little sloppy and I am going to replace it but apparently a run of the mill puller wont fit. Does anyone have any idea what the part number to the special puller is?

Why do you need a special puller? :?:

I have replaced pitman arms on 2 different 4wd S10's with a standard pitman arm puller before with no problems.

You will have to unbolt the steering gear box from the frame in order to remove the pitman arm.

Thats what I figured...my foreman thought there was a different kind of puller that would fit on the steering gear, thus negating the need to pull the steering gear. But pulling the steering gear to use a conventional puller suits me just as well.

Thanks
