15x8 with 4" backspacing...

Post by clontz_wi64 »

I have a 04 ZR5 ... I will have my 2" body lift on... little TB crank and 1.5" shackle

my ques is i found a -27 offset (little better than centered 8", 4" BS) 15x8 that is killer but i don't think it'll look right with a stock fender flare.... too much wheel outside?? look ok with cut outs???

should i just consider 5" backspacing and find another wheel??

and i will be using a 235/75/15 BFG "stock size for now" but its the offroad/street tread more aggressive type

i will probly switch to a 31x10.50 later or 32"

You will rub with those wheels and tires. Those wheels stick out almost three inches more than stock. You just don't have that kind of fender clearance. With the Skidz cuts you will be very close to rubbing. 31x10.5 tires will not be an option.
You can make 4.75 rear spaced wheels and 31" tires work pretty well, but will still need the Skidz cuts and fullsize bump stops.
Look for wheels closer to 5" rear spacing for an 8" wheel.
