what size wheels/tires can i fit

Post by riceburnr2005 »

Already took it out in the mud and ended pulling both my buddy's F-350's out. haha i was kinda iffy bout getting a smaller truck but this has changed my mind!! I love this thing..Anyways my question was what size wheels/tires can i fit on this thing with a tb crank/shackles. not looking for anything extreme just trying to add a little more capability to this thing. Also what size backspace do i need. Any help would be appreciated!! sorry if i could of searched for this but i just want a direct answer...

Stock wheel rear spacing 29" tall tire is about all after just TB crank and shackles, without further modifications.

After a 2" body lift 30" or small 31" tires will work.

After MML 31"-33" tires will work.

so like a 15x8 wheel with stock backspace and a 29" tire would be ok?

It might clear, but that extra inch of width is not going to help.

The best way to know is put a front tire up on a curb. Turn to where it is closest to the rear of the front fender and measure. That is the room you have to go taller, less rear spacing or wider. All will reduce clearance.

Check out the Readers rides and see what others have done. Find a truck that you like and then a little looking around here, you will find what you need.

I hate to sound ignorant on the subject.....but what is a MML? The googles says Motor Mount Lift, but I don't think that's it in our little realm.

Any opposition to the Super Lift 6" Kit....other than price?

Marvelous Mystery Lift.

Superlift is OK. No one seems to keep the truck long afterward.

 So what is a Marvelous Mystery lift? Or is it a.......mystery?! I feel very alone over here in this dark hole I've been hiding in!

As far as quality goes, the SL kit appears to be pretty nice. I wonder why many don't keep their trucks very long after installing it.
