When putting in the body lift, does anything need to be done with the fan shroud under the hood?

Yes. Spacers are added to lower the bottom half 2".

Yes. Everything you need will be in the kit and a few parts left over too. Have you downloaded the installation instructions from our website? Performance Accessories 2" Body Lift #192:

It shows everything in the kit and step by step how to install.

I have read that page, but hadn't clicked the instructions. I'm really wanting to stay away from the body lift and stuff 31s. :?: :?:

Lots of benefits to the body lift for these trucks. A little looking around should reveal many threads where I have listed them all. It helps with much more than needed room for tires.
Stick with 29" tires or 30 for light wheeling without a bodylift. I rubbed the 29's pretty hard when stock.
A mall crawler might get away with the Skidz cuts and 31" tires, but you will rub the top of the wheel wells bad on a curb cut.

My plan is cut the wheel wells as much as possible, lose the flairs, lose the plastic air dam, turn the torsion bars, boise spring kit or add in a couple leaves and a shackle if needed, bumpstops, wheels or spacers, and 31x10.5s.

I have 2.5 inch springs out the wazoo. A shackle is no problem either. Ubolts and a center pin are a 20 minute drive away.

It's still going to see daily driving, but I'm kinda needing the extra security of tires and ground clearance.

I still haven't found good, close pictures of the cuts without the flairs on.
