New tires, suggestions?

Post by fallvitals »

I still lurk here, I just don't have the time I once did to be active on forums. But, the sidewall of one of my BFG ATs cracked. They no longer make the 33x9.5-15..... (MML installed)

I don't want to go wider, so I guess my next option is perhaps 31x10.5-15? If I recall, those shouldn't rub?

So just looking for suggestions, looking at maybe master craft courser... If I feel edgy, the courser MT.

I don't really take my crew anywhere, we take my wife's new Camry I got her last year where ever we go. I was thinking of trading up, but decided to keep the crew for as long as I can.
Thanks.

31-10.5 will fit just fine. 33-10.5 too. The latter is what Reed runs on his truck.

Tires that I know currently come in 33x10.5x15:

BFGoodrich all terrain ta/ko
Bfgoodrich Mud terrain ta/km2
Toyo open country mt
Interco super swamper tsl radial
General grabber (red letters)

I liked the toyos on my k5, and I've always liked the bfg all terrains until they start wearing out, but I think I'd go for the general grabbers. The generals are probably the only ones that would measure a true 33 inches tall though so may have clearance issues.

Please post pictures when you get some new rubber :wave:

I am running 33x10.5x15 on my blazer with the MML. They can rub sometimes, but usually only in situations like this;

235/85/16 would be another option, you would need new rims though. Approx. 32x9.5

Interco, M16's also come in a 33x10.5x15.
