There's Pre-runner, Safari and what else??

Post by Hirolln »

I see some people with the Pre-runner style push bar and the Westin Safari push bar but what else to we have to choose from?

I am looking for a different look than that. More like the Smittybuilt Bumper thumper that I have on my K5 but with the added brush guards too.

I saw a Nissan 4 door p/u with an awesome push bar on it yesterday and I am now kicking myself that I didn't stop and check it out. Might have to start driving with my digital camera in hand

Oh well, I think the guy works for the Post office so It should be back there today.

Thanks!!

Ive given up on trying to get the Diamond Edition grill guard. I think I found one I like. Go Rhino makes it, but everyone seems to sell it with the brush guards and I just want the grill guard.

For anyone who is interested...

its the 3000 series, model number 3145B I believe.

I'm still on a quest for a light bar still. The there are three I'm still considering, Westin bull bar, ORV Universal pre-runner bar, and the Waag center section of the safari bar. Will be deciding on one this week.

yeah, i have seen that rear bumber support around town.

okay, here is another choice that is one of my favorites.

the warn grille guard. it looks nice and it is the strongest of all of them. you can mount a winch on it, and it comes with a front reciever hitch. its the way to go if you want a winch

If you buy that, take some pictures of it because that may be exactly what I am looking for!! I would like to see what it looks like on a S10.

Waag, I've never heard of them. Any info about the company?

How about a front bumper replacement? I think the rear bumper is very strong in stock form. I've backed into tree's, etc, no biggy. But the front bumper is totally useless, it's like a tin can. Now that would be something I would buy! Anyone know of any?

No one makes them bolt on yet for Chevy's yet. :( I would contact ARBUSA.com first and see if they are making them.

Not too bad , but it looks like the side bars (brush bars) might sitck out?

Another thing I've been thinking about is how tough it will be to remove the grille assy.

At least with the prerunner stlye or safari bars , it could still be pulled. I'm thinking that with most pushbars you would have to remove them to pull the grille?

yes the arb one is cool that they just did for the toyotas. only one thing. i bet arb wont ever come out with one for our truck. also, our front ends are so weak, it may not be a good idea to have that up front. just wait and see what i am coming up with. it will be strong and sweet!!!!

The GM one doesn't look too bad but I wouldn't want the side brush guard things on mine. It looks like they stick out!! :?:

I want one in aluminum or Stainless steel. What ever doesn't rust!! All the powdercoated ones rust after a few years and the crome ones are worse yet.
