Intake installed

Post by riceburnr2005 »

overall not a bad kit. its a spectre intake i got off of ebay for like 65 bucks. noticed a nice increase in throttle response and gives a pretty cool sound. even comes with a heatshield. I also have a throttle body spacer going to put that in too.

Nice!
I really like the Spectre intakes. The price and quality are both very good.
If you are handy with a sewing machine, stitch up a prefilter for it. That helps lots. I have two on mine. Sort of like having a tear off on a helmet :)

Yea I actually thought about that or getting a universal prefilter and making it fit. I had a little trouble getting that filter in cuz of it's size it's actually touching the fenderwell and the back of the radiator support. But it works

I have been watching for a good buy on a spare filter for mine. I have been thinking a dry type filter might be good to have as a spare, but really have no impulse to get one right now.
