Wheel spacers and the 31's all installed.

Post by AMBULLDOG2002 »

Got the Body lift all done and it really was screaming for some bigger meats under it.
I thought I was going to do the MML and run 33's but decided against cutting the fenders and modding fenders this late in the year so gonna push 31's for this winter. I wanted to wait till spring so I can do Monsta Liner, I going to do the body line and fenders down, the bed and the bumpers. I did the custom rear bumper and Ill do the front bumper in spring before the 33's and the liner, I just have to dream on the design a little longer.
Here are the pics of the spacers and tires.

Looks pretty good. What size spacers did you use? Just the rear?

Thank Henry, I went with your MML recommendation, the rear are 3" and the front I believe are 1-1/4, I ordered them in the spring when I came across your MML and the have just been sitting in the garage.

Looks like it is improving in leaps and bounds.

Is there a reason the mirror is folded? ;)

Probably just to walk around the truck when I was working, I really don't remember.

I was thinking of installing 1.25 or 1.5 spacers on the rear but wondering if it would be ok to haul around stuff with them on? I load the truck with firewood that I scavenge and tow a quad trailer every so often but didnt want to put to much strain on the studs. Will it be ok to run spacers with a load?

You will be fine as long as you use good quality spacers and carefully torque both them and the wheel correctly. These wheel adapters offer no more load stress than the wheel does. They just change the rearspacing of the wheel.
The old "slip over the studs" wheel spacers are where the extra leverage and stress can come from. Those are rarely used today.
