longbed and shortbed diference

Post by Justin »

is there a difference with these two styles? The pictures of the beds on trucks look the same. I am talking about the beds on extended cab and regular cab trucks.

Are the beds for regular cab S-10's the same as the bed's for the extended cab S-10's

thanks

As far as I know there was never a long bed offered with the ext cab. The beds of the ext cab are about 1.5' shorter than the reg cab long beds.

WOW... Did I get screwed here? My bed is only about 4.5'

As a matter of fact the spec sheet at chevy.com lists the "Length at floor (in./mm) 55.2/1402"

Where'd you get a 5.33' / 64" / 5'-4" bed on a crew cab?

I thought I put that down wrong, but I wasn't sure, so the lengths are 7.5' (long), 6.3'(ext/short cab), and 4.5' (crew bed)

I don't think the regular short bed is that long. The bed on my 92 was only 6'.

Well, I've decided to look for a 7'-5" longbed for the conversion. For all practical purposes, If I will stretch the truck, I'd rather go long for more bedspace.. Tomorrow I stop in at my truck shop and ask to see if there are companies around.
