Aquarium stand coverted to a work bench?

Post by fallvitals »

My neighbor offered my this metal aquarium stand. It's pretty much extactly the same design as the wooden work bench I want to build. Pretty much all I need to do is add plywood for a bottom shelf. Some 2x4s for that shelf and the bench itself for support in the center. And add some 3/4" or so plywood for the top. I don't have a picture of the stand. I didn't pay attention to the height... Maybe be a bit short but I'll still convert it. I don't see any structural issues using it as my frame and adding plwood for the top and bottom shelf, so you all?

It's for a 150 gallon aquarium, I think I should be more ben strong enough for what implanting?
