Ya, so...been a while since I've been here lol. Some of you old cronies may have remembered my first crew cab truck pictured in my avatar. You can see a larger pic of it on my fbook: http://www.facebook.com/AfterhoursFabrication

That one was disassembled back in 2008 and sold off for parts. If you search under my posts you'll see a thread about it but all the images don't work. I still have the bed that came with the cab, here's a pic of its current condition: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-a ... 3480_n.jpg The S10 know-it-alls will notice I'm running Hombre sheetmetal on the truck to match the beds flare and bodyline.

Back in 2004 or 2005 I bought the cab and bed NEW as empty shells with factory e-coat only (the bed still shows it), with no title, interior, glass, nothing ever installed. The doors even had these special assembly line clamps to keep them slightly open while they were getting dipped. They were sitting in my local junkyard right down the street and the guy couldn't tell me why he had them or how he got them. Very strange but after seeing them sitting there for a few months (ya, thats right, no one wanted them either!) I picked them both up for $1000. S10Warehouse got me the full interior with all glass and seals. What's even funnier is I tried selling the bed for YEARS and no one wanted it, I think I went as low as $100 and still nothing, so I carried it with me to Indiana in 2006 where it sat for another year until I started the build of the "mini" in 2007. I moved back to NJ in 2008 and the mini now lives in my garage.

Anyway, my 2nd child was born last week, so my current daily (Std cab S10, lifted on 31s with 292,000 miles!) is no longer large enough, so another crew cab is on the horizon. If anyone spots one for sale, give me a heads up, I'm looking to spend in the 5-8k range depending on miles and options. Would prefer a white ZR5 lol but I'll look at just about any of them if the condition is right. Salvage trucks ok! :D

Wow! Welcome back  Glad to see you show back up and fill us in on what has been happening.
The new project looks nice. I like your style. The Hombre fenders up front are a nice touch.

True, sounds good. My buddy Something Different has a lifted crew on 33s with a v8 so his truck is always worth looking at as well lol
