A very bad experience with Ebay and a seller !

Dear all, a long time without giving news because of old parents health difficulties needing many time for them ..... But today I would like prevent you from a bad experience I have had some hours ago .
I have ordered on Ebay a " Floor shifter assembly " for my Blazer . It was as spare parts in the case of ...............The announcement, http://www.ebay.fr/itm/172257215621?eui ... =ext,bu=bu
was showing an assembly including the "wood" top and the shifter and above seeming in good shape and it was proposed with a 90 days waranty . Shipped in good conditions, and when I open the package what a surprise it was only the under part of the shifter , totaly rusty with missing parts rending the piece un usable ! (parts for unlocking manualy the shifter if necessary and others !) A shame and they give a 90 days warabty !!!!!!
So I have placed a claim with Ebay and 2hours after I receive an answer saying they will not consider my claim because w hat I have received was in line with the description ! During the 2 hours I have done a search and found that the seller has placed another offer with same photo, description, and waranty with another article N° (see the link above) ! !!!!!
The Seller H & W AUTO SALVAGE in Springfield Missouri www. handwsalvage . com is not my recommendation and Ebay covers such unfair business ! Was it because I am a French customer and risks of claim are limited ?

Good to know! I have yet to be "burned" on an internet purchase, but come close a couple times.
If you purchased using a credit card, any chance they will fight for you? I purchased a security camera. It was terrible and would not focus. I returned it and waited. 17 days and no refund even after repeated promises that I would receive a full refund. I contacted my credit card company. It took less than three days to see a credit to my account from the company.
No more dealing with the Motorola store.

Paiement has been made by Paypal but they cover troubles for non delivery but not for technical reasons . And I have discovered that Ebay don't publish your feed-back if there is / has been a claim process ......... It means that we have to be very careful and analylitic with the evaluation rate ! At the limit it has no value ! ! !

eBay in general has gotten really bad with customer service lately. Unless you're working with a really good seller on eBay that wants to make things right (I always look at the feedback, anything under 99% I try and stay away from) it can get frustrating. eBay makes you wait an ungodly amount of time to start a claim in their system even if you've received the product. They make you contact the seller first and then wait so many days before they will even step in.

Im really shocked that eBay has gotten that bad for a clear cut case like yours. Take photo of what was received and compare it to what was pictured. Not the same, issue refund.

I do not buy car parts like that off ebay it is !20% scams most of the time. Never had a good experience.
