Space Blue MET.

Post by Joseph »

When looking at buying a S-10 my local dealer had 5 crew cabs on their lot, in several colors. After buying a cherry red met. crew cab I kinda wish I got the chance to see a space blue met. I was watching MotorTrend Television on TNT about 3 or 4 months ago they ran a small bit about 2002 S-10 Crew Cab. They used for the piece a space blue met. it look sharp. I would like to see one in person a space blue met. The funny part is can't seem to find one in a crew cab or any other model of a S-10. My local dealer 25 S-10's in all kinds of models and none of them is space blue met. Whats up with that? So, is this some kind of a special color or what? JH68

I've seen a blue one around here a couple times, but I think they must have painted the majority of them Lt.pewter. Seems like that is all I see.

It would be interesting to see the numbers for different colors.

when I was looking for my Crew a few months ago, there were atleast three yellows on the lot(two chevy, one gmc), and most of the rest were Pewter. Black and reds were common also. I've seen a white crew ZR5 online and thought it looked great. Don't remember seeing a blue though.

Colors for the Crew Cab

Post by Mike »

  I bought the Sandstone color Crew Cab. Does anyone else have this color? I have yet to see another one this color in Minnesota. I love driving a vehicle that seems to be pretty rare, and in a color that not many people seem to have. In fact, I was in California last weekend and didn't see a single Crew Cab. It may be hell for the aftermarket parts scene, but I like driving a vehicle that stands out as different. It seems like 90% of the trucks on the road are the same color and model. For chevy, I wonder what the numbers are for pewter Silverado's? Its amazing how many I see every day. I'm not dissing any other colors, just stating that I like to have something that doesn't blend in quite so much. :o :o

I've never seen a blue one around here. I almost got a yellow ZR5, but the dealer didn't want to work with me on my trade (99 Hugger Orange Z28), so I went somewhere else and got my pewter one. Only bad thing is it's a lot harder to spot in parking lots than my Hugger Orange Z28 was. :D

Mine is showing though...not too bad from a distance though...so I guess you're right. But it's a 4x4, it's supposed to be dirty, right? :thumb:

They are hard to find around here, besides size doesn't really matter, it's what you do with it, right?

When I was looking, I was searching dealer lots on the internet for fire red or the blue (but it wasn't the space blue, it was darker) anyway, found both colors sitting at the same dealer a hour or so away so we took off to check them out. The red one ended up being a ZR5 and the blue was sharp looking as well. Went back when they were open (we were there on sunday) and talked pricing and trade. Then I went to every Chevy dealer on the way home and also talked prices and trade values and checked out what they had. I can not believe how far off everyone was in pricing!! Totalled about 4000 difference and I was using my GM discount.

Anyways, I ended up with a green one
