Visor label removal

Post by Rockrz »

Anybody ever take the time to remove the information
labels on the sun visors of the late model trucks?

What's the best way to get these off?
I was thinking of trying a heat gun on 'em...

Any suggestions?

I did on the company van. Glad it wasn't mine! Can't seem to get the sticky off the nap after the sticker is removed. This is where CD holders come in handy 8)

Hmmm, reckon it might be best to just have
the visors recovered by an upohlstry shop?

Swap sides so they are hidden. I have not heard of anyone successfully removing them with out destroying the material.
Another option is to get Bravada double visors. That is what I installed

Now that sounds like it would work.
If it does, there's no need to do anything else.

So, what are double visors?
Never heard of those

I thought I saw somebody paint over them with some matching fabric paint. Didn't look to bad.

The bravadas got all the deluxe stuff. Double visors are just that. I have a small visor with extension that can be flipped to the side and one that will flip forward that has the lighted mirror. It also has an elastic band to hold cards or CDs. Both sides are the same set-up.

Yeah, I can't reverse mine because the passenger
side visor has a mirror glued on it (stuck on it somewhow)

But, those labels are kinda irritaing so I may see
if I can find a a shop that can recover these.
