Clunk

Post by green02crew »

Could this be what some of us think are our shocks making noise? I thought the clunk I heard were my cheapie shocks but it has remained after replacement with the bilsteins. Could it be the hood hinge?

I want to read the PDF a little ways down in the thread but I don't have a Zr2USA account.

The hood clunk sounds more like it is coming from the dash.

It did state that some people would mistake it for the shocks being bad.

Make sure you don't have keys or coins in the ashtray too. My clunk I was hearing under the floorboards were my blown shocks. I thought it was the torsion bars.

I had a clunk on my 95ZR2 and found it to be the sway bar end link bolt is broke.

Also found that my idler arm is wore out as well when I rotated tires this weekend.

Needless to say it hasn't been driving very well lately.
