Spare tire carrier....

Post by YellowCrewCabber »

I'm sure this has been asked before....I did search though....I'm running 235/75's will be going to 30x9.5. Can I use the 75 as a spare and will it fit in the carrier?

Up to a 31" spare will fit underneath

It is close for the exhaust and the hitch.

Whoo hoo!! :nana:
Could I still use the 75 as a spare? Or is that too much of a difference in tire size? Would it cause damage to the diff? Even in a short distance?

Avoid using it on the rear if you have a G80 differential and the use of 4x4 with it on may also be ill advised unless you are on loose material. It should get you out of a jam just as the compact spare would.

I have one tire on the truck that is in nice shape that is why I ask but surely I could find a used 30 that will hold air. So I also could find a plane jane s-10 wheel that would work right?
