Post by BowtieZR5 »

ok i had to have some suspension work done this last week. i need one of you to look under your stock ZR5 and let me know if the skid plate is connected in any way shape or form to the frame, or swing arm. and if you know where i could get a stock replacement skid plate i would appriciate it. thanks i lost mine. i think my mechanic may have screwed something up and not tightened all the bolts holding it on.

The stock ZR5 does not have skid plates. They were not an option. It only have the plastic front steering cover.

Metal shields may be hard to find. Any local salvage yard may have one of the plastic shields.

If you don't find one I know that members here should have some stock ones left over. I think I have a couple in the garage.

Not sure if it's still there but there was one recently on eBay......good luck.

As much as I avoid them JC Whitney sometimes has aftermarket stuff. Not sure if they have this part though.
Would LMC have it? or is it too soon?

LMC shows skid plates in their 09 summer catalog on pages 38-39.
