MAF code 101

Post by Lil-j »

Hey fellas, I keep getting MAF code 101, maf or vaf curcuit range/perf. I'm not having any drivability problems just the annoying ses light. It's not a malfunction code and my truck isnt going into limp mode so I think my maf is ok. I'm thinking that maybe the air filter is dirty and that might be causing the problem. I just wanna get some other opinions before I do anything. Thanks in advance.

I get the 0101 code about 1 mile from the gas pump every time I fill up. It's like clockwork. I reset the code with the Scangauge and don't get it back until the next fillup. I always figured it had something to do with opening the gas cap. This is the only code I have had on the truck that I can remember. I don't remember if a code for the front wheel bearing/hub was set off. Or if it can be because of the ABS. Seems like there was a light. But new hubs took care of it if there was one.
