Missing Console Piece

Post by nebby58 »

Anyone know where to buy the piece that fits in the back of the console? I don't even know what I would call it.

I have wanted one of these for like 3 years now, the dealership said it was like $30 if I remember correctly, so I just figured I was rarely back there to remember it was missing so I forgot about it!

On my 2002 CC that is where one of the ashtrays goes in the back seat. The others are in the doors.

Hope this helps..

Mine was missing too. Dealer replaced it. On mine it was just a panel.

The console comes out fairly easily for retrieval of your panel. I took mine out for more room delivering mail. 8)

Pretty simple: Pull the cubby out under the flip up lid. There's two studs under there. Pop the bezel off the tape player (if so equipped) there's two studs under there. Unplug tape deck wires if removing completely. If you're just retrieving the panel you should be able to lift the rear enough to find it without messing with the wires after you've removed the stud nuts.

Tape player? That's before my time! I'm glad I don't have one. It should be pretty simple. Thanks for the advice!
