Can someone please explain how to align the fuel door, hinged side, to be flush with side of bed?

Are the rubber bumpers in place on the opposite side?
Do you have a picture of the problem?

Re: Fuel Door Aligment
If door is centered, edge at arrow will not clear body when opening/closing.
Edge at arrow is about 1/4" below from flush w/body.
Rubber bumpers are in place.

Re: Fuel Door Aligment
That helps! I suspect that some physical tweaking may be the solution. I suspect that the door while opened was hyper-extended slightly. Someone may have bent it forward.
A wooden shim / block placed under the door supporting both above and below the hinge where it attaches to the outer skin. This needs to hold the door open 10-20%. Press firmly to bend the right side down. This will place more of a load on the bumpers and hopefully tweak the back side outward. Be careful not to crack paint or bend the door skin. Try just a little and then close it to check the fit.
This rubber bumpers are all that hold the door flush. You are trying to correct the plane on which the door rests.
