Plastic trim on bumpers, how to remove?

Post by Lil-j »

Anybody know how to remove the plastic trim from the bumpers? I wanna take it off temporarily to plasti-dip the chrome of the bumpers. My truck is black, the wheels are black, windows tinted. Last night I plasti-dipped the chrome part of the grill and the badges, wanna do the bumpers now. Then I can call it the Stealth-10, haha!

Also, the rear bumper has a really good dent in it, I'd like to replace it soon. What model year range of S10's can I get another bumper off of? Mine is an 02 crew.

Should be able to get it from anything 98+. The trim is usually held on with built in clips thru the bumper metal. You would need to take it off to make it easy to remove if you want to put it back on.
Knowledge has no value unless its shared with others.
