S-10CREWCAB.NET

Post by HenryJ »

What happened? Well, our forum on S-10crewcab.com began to be blocked by the database server due to errors which may or may not have been coming from our forum. This all happened November 17th , 2010.

Since then we tried to recover on more than a few free servers.

Now we have a place that we can call home. Walt has graciously offered to host us and has done a wonderful jobs setting things up. THANKS Walt!

I feel really good about this and the future of S-10CREWCAB.NET.

The new space looks great. Thanks for all the hard work on the back end working through all the issues. Everyone involved has gone over and above in getting us back up again. Good to see everyone finding there way back and to be picking up some new members as well.

Lots of changes with the new forum. Bandwidth is not an issue. The subject has come up in the past. I don't think there was a firm decision. Some say they can be a distraction. Others don't mind.

I don't mind them, however the whole animals packing guns thing is disturbing ;)

I finally got time to look at emails that henryj sent me and got logged in here.

I am very happy that henryj, walt and everyone else involved took the time to get the forum back up and running!!!!! :thumb: :bounce:  :D 8) I really missed this forum and the info it contains. I'm sure ya'll are putting in whatever software safeguards are necessary to not let this happen again(don't ask me what they would be, I just thought that "safeguard" was a good word to use  )

Anyhow...thanks for keeping me updated as to what was going on and a great big thanks for getting the BEST FORUM back up and running :D

The new site looks great! Even though I don't own a CC anymore, I still think this site is one of the best on the net. Much thanks to everyone who has kept the site up & running!

Updating about four versions newer software. The black template is no longer supported. Working on a new template.
Black Pearl was the closest template that I could find.

The quick post now works and we have a few more options available to us now. :eyes:
I am not sure if it is better or...just different.

There was really no choice after the upgrade. What I thought would be a simple update , turned out to be "work".

I will see if Walt can get out background to work.
