Post by AVTekk »

Hey guys, does anyone have the paint code for the anthracite/whatever it is color on the grill and flares for the ZR5? Like many others, the sun baked most of it off the top of the flares and my valance could use a respray. Thanks.

Seems like some were using a Duplicolor graphite color paint? Check the ZR2 sites. I don't recall lots about that topic here, although there may be one or two really old posts.

I considered doing bedliner on the flares and rockers. I have seen that done and it looks good. Raptorliner or something easy to clean would be my choice. No sticky rubber coatings.

Ya I was considering a liner or Plastidip as well but only the 2 rear flares have the problem, the front 2 were prob resprayed when the rest of the front was done because they look brand new. Im gonna stop by the local paint supply shop and see if they have a code on hand.

Let us know what it is if they have it.

Dark metallic gray trim color on flares is....

Post by AVTekk »

Specific name is called "Spectre Gray Metallic"
GM code is "WA9428"
Sherwin Williams code is "45834"

I looked up the trim color for my 2003 ZR5 that is painted Bright Yellow "43U". There was another option listed of a light gray metallic but that certainly isn't what my truck has. WA9428 is a very dark gray, almost black, that shows metallic in the sunlight.

Some people call it Anthracite Gray, but that's not correct according to the book they have. I have a Dupont shop in town too and will update the codes they have as well.
