233 transfer case
15in American Racing Baja wheels w/ good 235/75-15 tires

All glass and doors in great shape, absolutely no rust, some very small dings as expected

Looks like this is at the After hours shop, which would be located in Central NJ. I wonder if that motor would work for my 2002. its in desperate need of a new one. I also could use a windshield that hasnt been sandblasted.

The motor would bolt to you tranny and motor mounts, but I believe it's an older version of the 4.3. I think it's a different fuel delivery setup. I vote 5.3 for you lol. I saw one on clist today for $500

Nice, well my intake etc is basically all new stuff all of the fuel delievery stuff was replaced. A 5.3 would be nice, but unless I can have someone who will help me perfect it and make it a failsafe daily driver, then I probably wont do it. I use the truck often for around town driving alot lately so a V8 will make my wallet even more unhappy..

Yes its at my shop in South Plainfield, NJ. The engine should swap right into your truck Anthony, the injectors and everything are the same. Ran fine when we were driving it around, the truck was bought for misc parts for Jays 95 Blazer.

Anthony every V8 swap I do is reliable and daily drivable. Yes there is more stuff to worry about but no more than a modified 4.3L (e-fans, headers, ect). The easiest swap would be the Vortec 5.7 since its the same exact engine as the 4.3 and will run with the same harness, just with 2 more wires added for the extra injectors.

Interesting. If I did the 5.7L swap, what kind of city MPG are guys getting with it, without driving it like crazy? I know people have said anywhere upwards of 25MPG+ on the highway which I like, but one of my fears is getting crap city MPG. Right now I get about 14 with my dead cylinder driving it back and fourth to the train station every day.

If I know it can be turn-key reliable and not have to worry every time I start the truck I would much rather do the V8. So many more performance options and it would be a hell of a lot more fun to drive.

The Vortec 5.7 doesnt get as good mileage as a 5.3 LS, and it will def not improve around town. Jays truck has it and gets the same mileage as my stock crew and hes lifted 8" on 33s.

Well, I guess that cant be too bad! The 5.3 is a dog though isnt it? Anytime I drove a fullsize with that engine it felt like it made alot of noise and went nowhere. Anyhow enough of my hijack of this thread.
